The next time Easter and April Fool’s fall on the same day, I’m going to wrap one of these as a Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg and give it to a certain buddy of mine as a “gift.” Asad Khan, owner of India Dining in Warlingham, UK applied some serious fire to the chocolate Easter egg this year. He used a ghost chile, a scotch bonnet and a habanero in the recipe.

Hunting Chicken of the Woods in Alaska

Late August is the time of year when the day-glo orange-and-yellow fungus called Chicken of the Woods crops up on the dead and dying trees in the deep woods. Candy caning dogs in swine is by no means a Los Angeles thing. The New York Times ran this great article on Mexico’s part in their origin story but I’m never one to leave well enough alone, so I changed it up a bit. Anything you can do with a hot dog is generally as good if not better when executed using Italian sausage, chorizo, or brats instead, no?
