Scovie Deadline Extended
Due to many requests, and because of the past Labor Day Weekend, we are extending the Scovie deadline for one week. But remember, your products entered must arrive in Albuquerque no later than September 19th.
San Diego Burger Battle Part 1: Recon
Last month saw my first food competition: the San Diego Burger Battle. I’d judged KCBS barbecue, assisted Doug Keiles in Oakland, and covered the World Food Championships, but this was my first time at the helm of my own competition effort. I learned a lot from the experience and over the next couple of days I’ll be sharing those lessons here for anyone who’s thought about competing.

The deadline for entering the 19th annual Scovie Awards Competition is September 5 at midnight, so there’s just five days left to enter. And remember, the more products or categories you enter, the better chance you have to put “a trophy on every bottle.”
