My post-Vegas food coma (aka, the itis) finally ended so I’m back at the keyboard writing about motorcycles and food again. Woohoo! We’re starting the week off with Hot News and it’s all about reapers, roosters, and ribs.
The World Food Championships: Sin City Judgment Day
It’s possible I could have had more fun at the 2013 World Food Championships—I just would’ve needed bail money to do so. Too much happened to tell you in one blog post so I’m opening up with this overview. If you want a visual guide, you can check out our photo album on our Facebook page. Seeing how the event invaded Downtown Sin City this November 7-10, let’s break down the festivities by their corresponding Seven Deadly Sins.
Smoked Turducken for Thanksgiving
Most of you probably know what it is, but for those who don’t, it’s a chicken, stuffed into a duck, stuffed into a turkey. The chicken usually has Cajun stuffing in it and other types of stuffing are often used as mortar between the building blocks, as well. If you want to build one, you have to de-bone all three birds first, making sure not to cut the skin on the turkey while doing so. Once that’s done, you stuff them together, then use cooking twine to hold it all together as a cohesive unit, coat it with seasoning, and you’re ready to cook. Or you can do what I did.
Burn! Tested: Burger Stomper
Football season means tailgating and that’s where Burger Stomper comes in. Seeing as how I loves me some tail(gating) and a good burger, this seemed like a good time to take Burger Stomper out for for a test drive.

Even though outdoor grilling and fall weather don’t agree with each other everywhere, a lot is still going on, like the two items we have for you this week. Especially if you’re a certain hot sauce with a chicken on your bottle.

I’ve no doubt that while you collect the Parent’s Tax on your kids’ Halloween candy this year, some of you will have the beginnings of a cold or other nasty Fall malady. It’s just karma balancing the scales for raiding your offspring’s sweets. If you’re looking for a fun twist on the hot toddy to counter karmic vengeance, try my version with CaJohn’s Frostbite.
