This just in! The 2012 New Mexico-Arizona Book Award for Best Gardening Book was given to Dave DeWitt’s Chile Trivia!  Several other books by Dave and Lois have won New Mexico Book Awards in past years.

If you don’t have a copy of Chile Trivia yet, order one from amazon.com here! It’s packed with great anecdotes from Dave about his chilehead life, and we explore the world of spicy food, how chiles traveled across the world, fiery science, gardening factoids, chiles and sex, and strange stuff about animals and chile peppers. Seriously, if you want to know something about chile peppers and can’t find it in this book, it must not be a very weird question.

The New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards is organized by the New Mexico Book Co-op, a nonprofit organization serving authors and publishers in the Southwest. Congrats Dave and Lois!
