You may recall that a couple of months ago, I transferred the beginnings of about 37 jalapeño plants that sprouted in a pot to a Topsy Turvy hanging planter. Well, here’s how it looked at first:
And here’s how it looks today:
It would seem that a packet of seeds, an $8 bag of Miracle Gro potting soil, and the $4.99 Topsy Turvy hanging planter work pretty well together. All I’ve done is water the planter every night and make sure it gets plenty of sunlight. None of the plants have died (obviously) and I’m even starting to see flowers. However, the weather is changing here in Los Angeles. Nights have cooled off to around 64 degrees F while the days run anywhere from 75-82 degrees F. All of this has me worried about whether or not I’m going to actually get anything beyond the little white flowers on my jalapeño plants, provided they’ve pollinated. Maybe I should hire some bee gigolos to take care of business.
Either way, I’ll let you know in two weeks.
